Well, I'm back. it has been a while since I last posted and there have been a lot of changes taking place in my life. At this moment in time I am in Guayaquil,Ecuador visiting family. I'll be returning to Kingston, Ontario in the near future. I have been quite busy while I have been hanging out. I've learnt some great beading techniques and some great how to crochet with beads jewelry stuff as well. Before I came down here I learnt how to do basic Kumihimo,Japanese braiding,at Beadapalooza,in Kingston, but it is not well known here in Ecuador. I'll be posting pictures of some of my work when I return. I have also decided that in order to stop myself from procrastinating that I will make one (1) project a day for the next year. I know, it's a big decision but I have to at least give it a good go. Today is day number 1 and I am making a Turkish Flat Bead crochet bracelet. The pattern can be found at www.beadcrochetsnakes.com. Easy to follow instructions. I haven't yet made up my mind how to finish the ends but I'll leave that until later this evening. I'll be photographing the end result tomorrow and hopefully I'll figure out how to post the picture. I'm using Aunt Lydia's #3 crochet cotton in blue, 3.75 hook and 6mm. plastic pearls and blue beads. I strung them as follows, 2pearl then 2 blue that way there will be one bead of each colour on each side as I work down. Hopefully!!! So here I go. Talk at you later. Have a wonderful evening all.
Cheers
Christine
